It depends on what you are cooking. If you throw a couple steaks on an egg then it is basically a grill. There are a lot of really good things that take time and energy to cook on an egg. One of the best things about the egg is you can use it as a grill, oven etc. Get your friends to cook something different.

I decided to get especially lazy with my cooking. I bought a pellet smoker, and now sleep through the night while cooking BBQ. It's delicious and easy as hell.
Find pellets to be a bit better than ceramics at smoking too, easier and better. Ceramics are good all arounds if you just want one piece of equipment, but I prefer other methods in each category.

Living in Acadiana, the key to a successful grilling is getting the right things from the right meat markets.

there are some really good meat stores down there but if you know your way around a grill you should be able to make shoe leather tasty

trill either has some really thick skin or is completely oblivious, though I do seem to recall he disappeared for a while after his OT confession

That is the mistake of a person who has heard the word said, but has never read it on a menu in a restaurant. He desperately wants to be seen cultured, but he is sadly ignorant. Or maybe he's just a subtle troll.

I fail to see the attraction of these pits. frick anything where the top weighs 50 pounds. My next grill will be a Weber with a burner attachment. Grilled redfish on the grates with a crawfish cream sauce going. Can’t go wrong.
