You guys with titanium rings better hope you're never in a situation where it has to be cut off.

hate those damn rings with the really blocky edges

Agree. The extremely wide, squared off rings are the cargo shorts of wedding bands.

I got a "scratch proof" metal and very much regret it. I've lost about 30 lbs and can't get it resized. Plus, if you scratch gold, you can just have them polish it.

Standard looking ring, 4-6 mm width is all you need. Whatever metal you like, but white gold would be my pick. No need for platinum or anything.

Same for my husband. Over three years now and he still has it. It still looks good, too. Cobalt is pretty durable.

14K gold comfort fit. Still have the original. Don't think it's been off of my finger more than 2-3 times in 20+ years.

Wife passed but I still wear an old hammered wide silver band with black accents. It's bent out of shape but fits ok.

I went with a stainless steel 8mm that's not too shiny. $10.99 with Amazon Prime.

Traditional gold band with more rounded edges. All this white gold platinum tungsten crap is for the metro men.

Jesus.

I like my rings silver, because I can't ever imagine myself wearing a gold watch. All my watches besides my G-Shock have at least some silver in them. And the silver ring looks better with the G-Shock too, though I usually take it off in the gym.

We men only have 2 pieces of acceptable jewelry-a watch and a wedding band. May as well coordinate.

Plain gold band...got it at Service Merchandise for $39.99 back in '91. We will make 25 years this Wednesday. Something pretty similar to this.
