I've never been in the building, but always thought it was interesting (if odd).

What do people think about the newest use:

My dad's company is doing work on it and he's sent me pictures here and there. It's amazing.

ETA: he was telling me about the Governor's Room in the hotel they are building. I want to say it's $11k per night.

I guess I don't have a pulse. It's impressive. I'll give it that, but it doesn't make me happy.

It's not awesome, it's in Memphis. Let's not forget that.

The pyramid was still being built when I was there.

Fox News just had cameras inside the pyramid earlier this week. It is close to completion.

The Fox News anchor was sitting on a fishing pontoon that was floating on an artificial lake...inside the pyramid.

Bass Pro wants customer to experience what the boat feels like on the water. Therefore they simply created a manmade lake and swamp inside the pyramid.

No big deal.

While not the cultural mecca that is Baton Rouge, Memphis has several nice things to offer.

They should have renovated for the grizzlies when they first moved and changed the name of the team to the Memphis Mummies.

Had been in the Pyramid back in the day when the artifacts that had been recovered from the Titanic were on display. Nice place and was surprised that it had basically been abandoned since the Fed Ex building went up. Glad to see Bass Pro Shop doing something with it rather than it wasting away. Hope to visit one day when I get back down to my southern roots.

Between the grand opening and the grizzlies game last night, downtown was a madhouse. All the reports coming out are saying that they did a fantastic job converting the pyramid. It's basically across the street from my office, but I'll wait for the crowds to die down before checking it out.
