There is something internally in all of us that tells you when you stop. Sometimes 1 person can go past that but not 5.
Sometimes it is worse when it is 5. Mob mentality is real. People in a group will do things they never would consider if they were alone.

This isn’t even a story. He resisted from the start. It’s really not that hard to behave.
Got caught by the known to be rough high crime area unit.
Pulled over and pulled from his car. Was laying on the ground and obeying, shot with a taser twice, instinct kicked in and he ran.
Fight or flight is real.
Chased down beaten with a baton, stood up and punched in the face multiple times.
He weight 145 lbs. 5 guys should have been able to handle that with ease.

Which video was this in? I watched a couple but missed this.
The first body cam footage. Their aggression level was a 10/10 the minute they got to his car

Sharpton already delivered his eulogy so yes
My point is: that we can't trust anyone anymore. The cops, local govt, having police beat a man to death for nothing as if they are gang bangers. And especially not the lawyers that show to camera hog and try to race bait even though it is black on black.
I find it hard to believe they didn't tell her what hospital her son was at. And she only found out when he was coding from the hospital calling.
If this is true and the police were initially this badly covering up, it is a whole other ball of wax----sick.

Another scene where cops are taking the stress of their daily job dealings out on an individual that was just simply uncooperative and posed no real threat to them.

It actually nauseated me like I wanted to vomit to hear his college- kid voice and him screaming for his Mom. C’mon humans, what the frick? Is there not a man among them who could intervene and call off the dogs? I will admit I don’t know the story here and am reacting viscerally, but it made me sad as F seeing that. Life just has no value anymore in our majority black cities. None. Zero. Nada. Zip.

2 Shelby Co officers who showed up on the scene at the end have now been suspended and are under investigation

In Memphis, I do. I grew up there. Doesn’t surprise me at all

Late to the party but why was he pulled over in the first place? Outstanding warrants or what?

He was 29.

No criminal record.
The stop was on "suspicion of reckless driving".

A traffic violation

Reckless driving and suspicion of DUI.
Posted on 1/27/23 at 8:40 pm to Lsupimp
That was more like a 5-on-1 prison beatdown than trying to subdue a suspect.
Posted on 1/27/23 at 8:41 pm to Rebel
And still no official word on whether the stop was even legit/legal.
Posted on 1/27/23 at 8:42 pm to LegendInMyMind
How could they prove the stop was legal or legit without dashcam video?
Posted on 1/27/23 at 8:43 pm to idlewatcher
reckless driving but the police chief says they found no cause or evidence of this.
later said DUI suspicion. Mother says he didn't drink.
So what was the tox report?

Hey genius, frick all those cops in that video, but why don’t you tell us in plain English how vilifying every cop in America is going to give us better, more qualified cops?
Hear! Hear!

Have only watched vid 1, the tasing, I don't have anything to add to the conversation so I'm skipping the rest. This and Maddie are enough for the week.
