Thay are doing their very best to make it a racial issue. He said that the initial traffic stop (by two black men) was a "racist stop". Lots of applause after that sound bite
Despite the only involved white people being the tax payers funding this shite show

It's already baked into our current society to make this a racial issue. "The system is built on white supremacy. Even though all these police were black, they serve a white supremist system and are enforcers of it."

all 5 arrested....charges
All five are charged with two counts of official misconduct, one count of official oppression, second-degree murder, aggravated assault-act in concert and two counts of aggravated kidnapping.
Smith, Haley and Martin are in jail on a $350,000 bond. Mills and Bean were booked on a $250,000 bond.
One officer, Emmit Martin, was indicted and turned himself in, according to his attorney Bill Massey.

I don't think Desmond Mills has been charged yet. --- at least not formerly. I'm sure charges are coming.

It's literally required by law when properly requested.
Not in an ongoing investigation nor is it required if an argument is made by legal counsel that releasing it to the public prior to trial prejudices the defendants from receiving a fair trial. There is no law that makes releasing that video prior to trial compulsory in every situation. FOIA requests don't work that way. They could slow walk the hell out of them for no reason too. Happens all the time

Sounds like even without the video being made public, people are ready to burn shite down. The captain didn't help things either with his semi inflammatory remarks.

bingo. No one ever talked about it, but Memphis was so tame during the BLM protests in 2020 compared to other big, predominantly black cities. Hell, there was way more rioting, looting, and burning in Nashville.

This is a rough one for the ot moral compass
Do they back the badge or assume guilt based on the normal thing they assume guilt for?
