The rumor is that the dead guy was banging one of the officers woman. The DA refused to answer a reporters question regarding if the traffic stop was a legal stop for a traffic violation. If it ends up they targeted this guy... wow.
Things should get pretty interesting if that's true. Supposed to return a phone call to my next door neighbor who is a US Marshal, he's usually pretty plugged in to anything concerning law enforcement in the area. See what he knows about this part of it

Without seeing the video, my experience leads me to believe that there will not be much civil unrest.
In 20 years of inner city policing, no one has been more violent, ruthless, and savage to people of color than other people of color.
I want to believe that there will be genuine demands for change following what sounds like a very heinous and brutal murder of the victim in Memphis, but sadly I have seen this movie too many times. At best, the calls for change and pandering of morals will only last a few days before most of the people that have previously been vocal move on. Look no further than the countless brutal deaths of young children in the killing fields of Baton Rouge over the past few years. Most people don’t even remember their names when they are mentioned within months of their deaths.
Civil unrest, riots, and the destruction of property and communities only follow these events when the cops look like me and the incidents can be exploited, especially in election years, on the backs of long passed transgressions.
It’s a playbook that has become as American as apple pie.

I wouldn’t go rushing to Bass Pro this weekend.
We are staying in all weekend. I doubt anything will happen. But just in case………

The Grizzlies could win an NBA championship and I don't think anyone would be bothered to riot.
If it didn't happen in 2020, and it didn't, it's not going to happen now.

Sounds like Houston. This goes back to '94 and '95 and the Rockets winning the NBA title on the heels of the OJ verdict, but for some reason its just not a place where celebrations or protests get out of hand that often.
Now I just jinxed it.

Gaslighting at its finest. Does it appear what these cops did was terrible? Yes.
Is saying this in anyway indicates how police in general typically treat people in their custody? THE ANSWER IS ABSOLUTELY NOT! There literally is tons of data showing the ENORMOUS number of police interactions and the ridiculous low number of those are an issue. It would be like saying that we find out one instance a teacher tortured students in her class and then assuming the majority of teachers torture their students in class.
The OBVIOUS ploy is to vilify cops in their current capacity which would eventually cause CHAOS which the powers that be can then institute martial law for the citizens “safety”.

Chances they release the video on the same day as they release Pelosi’s husband’s tape; probably close to 100%
