I still don’t know how Dennis got Melanie and Cynthia. They were both pretty good looking. I think I remember reading in the original case they were all using meth. I think Melanie even took her daughter to the victims house the night this happened. She’s def not inmocent. She never should have gotten a 100 years in prison tho.
I think the key thing brought up in this trial is that the victim didn’t want to press any charges in her sexual actions with Dennis/Cyhthia, but chooses to pursue charges with Dennis/Melanie. Clearly this woman who used to be friends with Melanie hated her after finding out Dennis was banging her too. She probably thought she was the only mistress.
I found on that Unfiltered page that Cynthia Perkins attorneys cited Tigerdroppings as a reason for them to move her trial

She was banging Dennis in the houses she was showing on her realtor days while married to that guy and then having kids of their own.
I laughed reading the part in the trial where prosecutors asked her where she met Dennis and she said thru church lol…. What church allows that behavior?
She is hot though..at least on the Denham Springs scale.

That’s what it sounds like.
Old wife and Melanie were friends as their kids played sports together. Old wife invites Melanie over to her and Dennis house in 2014. Old wife claims to have no recollection what happened that night.
In 2019, police find videos of old wife while investigating Dennis/Cynthia. Old Wife tells prosecutors if it’s about Dennis/Cynthia, she doesn’t want to press charges. When they tell her there’s one with Melanie and her, she wants charges pressed. She claims to not remember anything that happened that was on video and also admits she was devastated finding out Dennis was cheating on her with Melanie.
To me the old wife sounds scorned over Melanie. But also had no issues hooking up with Dennis and his new wife. I don’t think she’s a trustworthy witness.

Yes - sex on video... with an alleged passed out/drugged person. Obviously it worked out in her favor, but she was also given the chance to take a plea the first time with a pretty short sentence (like 5 years and probably out in 2-3) if I recall compared to what the statute says, and chose to take it to trial anyway.
The perception was always "Why did she get way more than Cynthia??" Cynthia took her own plea and got 40 years in exchange for rolling on Perkins. Melanie gambled the first time, refused the plea, and lost.
