The dues have been paid, and guys will ride. Members don’t give a shite who the grand Marshall is. It’s always someone shitty and stale anyway.
Also, Endymion doesn’t give a shite what the members think.
Thus the garbage entertainment for the majority of the last 20 years. It’s been hit or miss, I’ll admit a couple decent years.
The year it was shut down for running over a man, half the members missed 3/4 of the route. Instead of giving a discount to those members the following year, they raised the dues to cover their own loses, they claimed.

If you speak against the organization their response is always we have a waiting list if you quit.

They cut out guest tickets to the coronation ball. They shut down a message board on the members site. Because “the members would talk to much” and would sell their extra tickets (which they paid for) to other members, on there. They told members to give back any extra extravaganza tickets to the krewe so members wouldn’t sell them. They cut out “beans and jeans” party the night before the parade. Claiming it cost too much.

This year they enforced buying $800 worth of Endymion products on top the dues. People were purchasing a majority of their throws at cheaper places and not Beads By The Dozen, owned by Dan Kelly, the same place who gets the Endymion products made.

It’s a total dictatorship.
