Strannix has gotten better… which to be honest has concerned me about myself if I’ve gone more towards his side. I still think Strannix has been a bit of a genocidal lunatic, and while I think he’s toned it down, it has me concerned why I think that.

Yep. I understand I’m dramatic and emotional, but I see the writing on the wall. Everyone who has lived extensively (and I mean a year and a half plus) in China, North Korea, Russia, Eastern Europe, Cuba, and Venezuela all agree with me. They’re flipping out as well nearly into tears that our country is pretty much literally committing suicide. One of my three best friends recently said to me “OML, you are exceptionally intelligent and I think you’re probably right, but your emotions are even higher and I think eventually you’re going to let your emotions drown your gifted intellect.” He may have a point.

First of all, my friendships are too valuable to me and I would never put politics over friendship so anyone who was your friend and then decided not to be because of your views are not worth having as a friend.
With that said, if you are trying to push your views on them then that could be a different story, but still you don't just give up on people.
But what you see as warning people, those people might see as something else and I in today's world I think it is so easy to get caught up into certain beliefs. And there are people on both sides who see things two different ways and there is no convincing either side any different.
With social media, we let the outside world come too much into our lives. There are people on the left who believes our lives will be ruined if a Republican is in office and vice versa. In reality, I truly believe that life is too short to let all of this bullshite consume our brain. Most politicians are spineless fricks who are tools for corporations, lobbyist and special interest. And then they keep the people's attention on bullshite issues.
It plays in both sides favor if the country is divided. They more they keep you outraged and thinking that "something has to be done" the more people will go out and vote.
Don't let it get the best of you man. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter. What does it all really mean anyway?

I really don't want to get into a debate, I'd love to see you and OML get into it. But, for some, people have thought about all of these issues - and if you don't see the trajectory and what is happening in the world - then so be it

No, most of my liberal friends stuck by me because we’re friends. I had some “friends” though that thought I lost my mind for wrong reasons. Had a gay couple that were “friends” and they asked me why I don’t care about their rights. Bitch, Donald Trump isn’t coming for them. I made this clear what Donnie likes in office: Make dumb tweets, get in the mud with the press, hold big fricking rallies, and play golf. While they all agreed with it, I was a deplorable after that. The friendships were all cut off the week after the election.
Actual liberal friends, no we’re cool. Going with some of them to watch Dune tomorrow. Should be a blast. Nothing personal and they just assumed I knew something they didn’t. Doesn’t make me a bad person.
