What do these people actually expect us to do as individuals about global warming? There are countries with billions of people that are fricking this place up way more than we ever could.

Have more of your wealth taken and transferred to people who profit from beating the climate change drum.

Energy price drop costs city of Georgetown,TX electric fund $6.84M

Yeah having your town citizens paying $1k per year more than the rest of the state in the name of global warming...I mean "climate change". Al Gore approved...literally.

Yup.

This thread makes me disappointed.

It's why whenever I get in a discussion about climate change, I just go straight to "Ok, you are 100% right in everything you've said about climate change. Now what's your solution?"

Discussion usually ends there.

I'm a firm believer that the market will eventually solve the issue.

When companies figure out a way to monetize waste (and it's coming very soon), everyone will win.

ding ding ding.

climate change discussions in the United States are nothing more than virtue signaling by social media crybabies and those desperate for attention. meanwhile SouthEast Asia and Africa destroy the planet with little to no guilt. it's as dumb and as logical as Twitter SJWs blaming the NRA for mass shootings, when legal gun owners commit a very very very small percentage of gun crimes.

And how far back do we have accurate historical data?

Well we know that water heights were like 300 feet higher AND lower throughout history than they are now. I'm not talking about 120 years of data - which we usually have - I'm talking about millenia.

Do you want it to end there, or do you think it's something humans should study?

I agree with you. We could also be much further along if the environmental zealots didn't manage to block just about any attempt at utilizing nuclear power.

And how does that help a climatologist to accurately say what caused those fluctuations and predict what will happen next? Because that is the implication of your post.

We are talking about a faction that is so dug in though, that no science make sense. Whether it's ground water pollution links to cancer, chemical emissions in a community leading to pulmonary issues, you name it.

Anything that may lead to "those crazy Libs" sounding an alarm for the greater good has to be ridiculed and eventually dismissed.

Yes, but not at the expense of the economy or taxpayer.

The US isn't the problem. It hasn't been for quite some time.

Best is mind fricking a major global warmest/animal rights activist mix. They throw out anti-oil stuff like wind mills. Then watch their heads explode when you ask them their thoughts on all the birds they kill. Their opinion on how wind mills got a govt release on the killing of protected birds species in the name of fighting global warming. Glorious to watch.
