Members of this ethnic group believe that the spirit is not able to enter the after life until the body completely decomposes. So, to entertain the corpses during their transition phase, family members exhume them periodically, rewrap them in fresh silk, and dance with them.
Shockingly, a new plague is running rampant in this area, infecting thousands. So officials are now actively discouraging the practice.
