BR is going down the same path as NOLA unfortunately. Will probably bail at some point.

I would suggest to any young professional or new graduate to move away from this place. You do not want to raise kids in this mess. Do it for their future.

How in the hell do NO and BR voters elect these idiots to be their Mayor???

Both parishes are majority black and they vote like 95% Democrat without even a single thought about the issues. No voting block would come to that high of a consensus if they weren't just doing what they think they are supposed to do.

Still relatively young but it's hard to uproot your family and kids when we both work, own a home etc. my entire family lives here and I'm still considering it. We live in the city but pay for private school

So it's okay to honor people if we only remember things that they did later in their life? Okay.

"After the war P.G.T. Beauregard spoke in favor of civil and voting rights for the freed men, making him unpopular among his fellow Confederates."

I know it's hard, but it's not impossible. I'm the only one of my family left here. My brothers and parents say it's one of the best things they ever did.

I'm surprised Mitch the Bitch hasn't already come up with this for New Orleans.

They wish they had Zuma and Mugabe's power. That's what they want.

I'm sure the Malcolm X Day for 2018 is already in the planning stages. Hopefully she can spend some city money to make it a really nice event.

Good movie. Arguably Denzel Washington's best role.

Meh, He was better in Training Day.

It's like Broome and Landrieu are in an 80 mile long race-baiting game of ping pong
