The only thing that explains it, to me, is that they're all crazier than shithouse rats; they don't go for mature men, because they won't put up with their BS very long.
Instead, they get controllable boys who provide them the thing they want, and that still put it on a pedestal.

I saw a doc on this, it is some kind of mentor/control thing that goes awry in these women. These boys are horny and easily manipulated by the female teacher but they are obviously immature and can't keep their mouths shut. So she goes from being in control to losing control and gets outed and ruined

My theory:
The obvious underpinning is severe emotional underdevelopment/immaturity. They are either:
A) women who peaked in high school and are insecure about what they've made of their adult lives or
B) didn't peak in high school, maybe even outcasts or always in a prettier more popular girls shadow, making up for missed opportunities.

meh, i think its more simple. bitches are competitive as hell with each other. for some reason this even triggers when they are competing with high school girls for these dudes in some women.

I might've had three teachers who were remotely as pretty as this girl throughout elementary and high school. Good ole catholic schools must've had strict hiring practices- ugly/unattractive only.

So I clearly understand how this happens from the student's perspective. There is not a high schooler on this planet that would not bang the devil outta her.
And I also understand why she was down. Maybe she didn't have a father-figure, maybe she is not happy with the way her life is going and wants some excitement, maybe she never got the chance to get banged by Chad on the football field.
What I do not understand, for the life of me, is why so many of these young, college-educated teachers act on this desire knowing full-well the repercussions - e.g., if you bang Chad, you will be fired and you may go to prison. The repercussions are not minor in any stretch of the word. At the very least, you will lose your job - and likely your career - and you will be humiliated in your community and you will be designated a sex predator. In certain lines of work, you just cannot bang your co-workers or your clients or the persons under your control. It just floors me that so many people piss away everything. I do not understand what this phenomena is (again, I understand the urge, I just do not understand acting on that urge).
I have always wondered what the civil lawsuits look like in these things (especially when the guys are below the age of consent).

Im sure some OT'ers will enjoy this nugget, but I was reading the comment section on the TMZ article and a girl familiar with the story (her sister is a local journalist) stated that 2 of the students were black.
