I have admitted I was tricked, and for the purpose of the simple equation it is 15.

If that was on a linear algebra problem that's what I am picking, and would absolutely not be afraid to challenge my teacher on the assumption that the difference in variables translates to a difference in quantity.

But I also like asserting things I know are most likely not reality even though I can logically justify it .

Your position relies on bad science, math, and use of symbols. And yes, the pictures are symbols. Your position is obviously the intention of the puzzle, but that doesn't stop the puzzle from being purposefully misleading and relying on bad science. Real use of symbols isn't deliberately misleading. For someone who claims to be coming from a perspective of being educated, you are decidedly choosing the uneducated route.

Correct, it's not an assumption, but it is adding art and situation logic to an algebra problem, and my math teachers would have strung me up on a pole and left me there for days if I had pulled this kind of shite in a "Math" class

Every math problem must resolve itself perfectly, and the fact that we have 9 pages of people arguing for different answers proves this whole premise starts on a failed logic to begin with

P.S: The answer is still 15, like, there is no other answer, it's just 15 (unless of course the artist is a moron, but like I said, this was done 100% on purpose, and the artist wasn't a moron)
