I’m talking about temp ones placed in a staggered manner at the sidewalks where the police vehicles were positioned blocking the street access.

Not having those was stupid.

In hindsight I'm sure it is

Just have to move the crowd everytime an ambulance or EMS goes down bourbon

Yea wild, I was responding to your ever changing goal posts of what if they weren’t in a truck when I listed those things that would potentially stop a person and not a truck.

frick you dumb bitch

Stay on topic you dumb retarded lying whore

And knock off

Please explain your wonderful, coherent, original ideas of what else could’ve been done to stop the nut that wanted to kill.

And for the record you’re ugly inside and out, so I doubt you even have mirrors.

your ever changing goal posts
not really

I have stated since the beginning that a terrorist attack or some dumb whacko that wants to kill people cannot be stopped without prior knowledge of the incident

You and I get that hindsight. We probably paid 7 figures for the tax bill in securing bourbon street yesterday. That probably warrants a little less grace with regards to hindsight being 20/20

Bollards on the sidewalk, genius.

I thought they had bollards on the sidewalks.

Plus the balcony supports.

May that POS continue to burn in hell. shite if I’m ever there I’ll add gasoline to his burning body until there’s nothing left but dust.

I'm blaming the terrorist and what leads to those actions.

Not blaming the NOPD for a 6' gap in defenses of an entire neighborhood. Certainly doesn't fall into "Massive Security Fail"

NYC lines trucks up for time square. Seen the same at the Houston rodeo

It’s not like a Muslim driving a truck into a crowd is a novel concept.

I don’t think it’s asking the government much to have more than half arse a safety measure that completely failed its intended purpose

the half arse security measure that’s been working for 200 years?

Unless there’s a warning, why change what works?

Blocked with what moron? Obviously not something that would keep a vehicle from driving through it.

The street is clearly blocked by a police vehicle. The dude went around over the sidewalk. I swear some of you need to be spoon fed basic observational information

Bourbon street is a long street with a ton of intersections. Going after the city for not being able to block every single possible entry point including sidewalks is dumb as frick

Armchair quarterbacking says yes, sidewalks should have been blocked, but I don’t consider that a failure.

I mean, that’s a pretty big failure, to be honest.

There was never any plans to put bollards on the sidewalks.

There will be now. That is Meauxjeaux’ point; that this should have been thought of.

There are STEEL!!! Bollards at LSU that are removable and placed back anytime it is needed. With all of the high profile events in NO over the years this was a failure period!!!!

BTW bollards can be placed on sidewalks as well.
