If you live here you figure out the differences pretty quick. Sorta like New Orleans seems the same as Metarie, Kenner, harahan, etc. when you're just driving through and not from there.

Driving through there I don't know where one ends and the other begins.

How can you not tell when when Dallas ends and Arlington starts? It's pretty obvious.

I'd get not knowing when you've left Dallas to Richardson to south Plano and maybe even as far north as Allen but Dallas to Arlington? Really?

You can’t fix stupid bruh. He’s gonna defend his ignorant opinion no matter what

weird thing about DFW(before mapquest, waze, whatever.) is that you'll hit the metroplex and see exits for the road you want in every town, ex., Belt Line Rd., you'll see it coming in from the east in about the first three or four towns, and it's like, wtf? and also if you overlay the roads/streets you'll see them picked up over gaps through, tank farms. rr yards, woods, etc., as if they were one continuous piece of pavement

I know this is going to sound crazy, but if you are stuck in a pile up like that would it be best to get out the vehicle? Just head towards the front of the wreckage so you aren't a sitting duck. Especially to keep safe from an 18 wheeler slamming into the back of you.

Belt Line Rd

It's basically a loop that circles Dallas so you do see it in a bunch of towns.

Long range planning! Whats more confusing even to me, and I've lived here a long time, are streets that change names 3 times in about a 5 mile drive down the same street. The best example that I drive a lot is Wyclif becomes Sylvan becomes Tyler becomes Polk become Uhi all in about a 6 mile stretch.

They kind of are.

Roads like Belt Line and Greenville were essentially the first highways in the DFW area.

The reason I don't get the Dallas to Arlington bit is there are large areas where there isn't really anything much on the highway. I don't get why you'd think you are still in Dallas in areas with wide open fields and a few factory complexes. On top of that you have to go through Grand Prairie first.

Going north on 75? Sure. There is continuous infrastructure going through Allen. But I feel like once you go to Plano you should start to realize you're in a different city unless you are just straight up not paying attention to the road signs.

Start this video at 1:33 and explain where the guy who stands up comes from.

He was either in the white pickup, PJ Cruiser or driving the 18 wheeler.

People can make snarky comments and pretend like they are expert drivers, but they are full of shite. They’ve likely never experienced ice in North Texas.

I’m the only MF in the state of Texas who has any business driving in this shite and it’s only because of the 15 years that I had to live in the godforsaken region of New England.

And what it taught me is to stay the frick home.
