I'm about 99% sure the sheriff said none of the cameras were recording. Go back in this thread to 7 or so yesterday evening, or pull up the presser.

Man, I wonder what his computer will yield. His search history alone has to be crazy.

Yes, and I believe we got conflicting info on that.

The Fox guy is very clear that people he personally knows have "seen the footage"

I was thinking the same. But now, I wonder if the dude is so strange he didn’t even own one.

Has it been mentioned if he’s registered to vote? If so, with which party if any?

There's also the 100k that he wired to his girlfriend. He had to have some money.

Just watched the conference from yesterday.

He did say none of the cameras were recording.
LINK Go to 11:42 mark to hear what he said.

Meh, with enough cash, anybody can get any room they want. He had plenty enough cash to score that room as John Smith.

I'm trying to figure out his income over the past 30 years. Everyone has bills to pay. This guy quit work, got divorced and then vanished for the most part, other than having cash to invest in rental properties. Maybe video poker is the way to make it rich, but it's the first I've ever heard.

Sherriff did say that.

Problem I have is that someone posted the link a few pages back with a guy on Fox News stating that he knows people that have reviewed the footage from in the room.

Dude is like ex-FBI, so you get the picture he has actual friends involved in the active investigation.

Just read in the link posted in this thread a few pages back that the room was comped.

A friend of mine told me earlier that the shooter had a bill earlier that day that had two meals and two drinks on it therefore, he thinks the dude was an arms dealer and was set up by some terrorist, who actually did the shooting, killed the guy and got out before the police came so it would look like the dude did it and just decided to kill himself after.

I thought he was joking. He seriously believed it. With that said, I haven't read anything since about page 225ish.. So I can imagine the theories that people have come up with since then.

Or is a schlub they pulled with little connection to this case but is willing to be paid to talk

Edit: re-read and saw you stated he explicitly said he talked to people not just implied. Less likely to be straight up fabricating as opposed to my implication that he might be overselling

Body camera footage from the police when they went into the room perhaps??

ETA: sheriff said yesterday that they knew the time of the last shot fired from the body cam. So I'm not sure if he meant a body cam on a police officer at the scene or if perhaps he could've been referring to a body cam that Paddock was wearing... I would assume he meant police though

Didn't it say he made like $2m on selling his real estate on the last page? No kids, decent income and good investments is a pretty solid combo to be comfortable and then some

The night before the shooting, Mr. Paddock made two complaints to the hotel about noise coming from his downstairs neighbors: Albert Garzon, a restaurant owner visiting from San Diego, and his wife and friends. Mr. Garzon, who was staying in 31-135, directly beneath Mr. Paddock, said security guards knocked on his door around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday and asked him to turn down his music, country songs. When he asked where the complaint was coming from, pointing out that the nearest rooms on either side were far away, the security guard said, “It’s the guest above you.”

They turned the music down, but had another visit from different security guards half an hour later. The man had called to complain again. Mr. Garzon turned the music off. It wasn’t until the early hours of Monday that Mr. Garzon realized Mr. Paddock had been the complainer.

Maybe he had been losing and just snapped out because of so much shitty country music?

He's lying. There's no way a security guard told him which guest complained.
