Man this is a travesty regardless but if you have to point to the government to stop this you’re pointing too far. This starts in the home and with family. Raise them well and take responsibility when not. Everyone has issues but I have to believe this escalated quickly and someone who “loved “ this guy knew something was up. If you truly loved them you would know and get them help even if that means institutionalizing them. Sad situation all around.

Again political views aside, someone knew or had a feeling IMO. The “government “ allows certain people to drive that shouldn’t. Getting blessed as sane by a bureaucracy that wants you in and out doesn’t hold much water. It’s the same bureaucracy that trained him to shoot and paid him for it.
