I am still fascinated with the psychology of this.

Mass shootings of the white variety almost always involve a person who was bullied or had a significant mental health history. They take place at a school, workplace or church usually associated with the shooter. In other words, a whacko takes out his grievances on the group he blames for his problems. Sick but understandable in some sense.

Terrorist mass shootings make sense in their mind as a public event.

But these gangland / BIPOC (I love using their term) shootings are just two dudes that have some perceived “beef” and then one or both of them just opens up on a crowd. The guy they originally had an issue with hardly ever even gets shot. What kind of sense does this make? You hate some guy enough to want to kill him? Walk up and put one in his dome point blank. Don’t send thirty rounds down the street in his general direction.

shite. We need to lower the homicide rate by putting funding towards firearms training for people in the hood. A government program to have unemployed veterans teach free open to the public classes on firearms and gun fighting skills doesn’t sound like a bad idea at this point.

Fair idea with one huge problem. The overwhelming majority of the people armed and shooting are felons who cannot even legally own a gun.

I'm sure everyone at the party had a mask on.

I try not to make generalized stereotypes, but.. And this isn't meant to be racist, just observation, but when you see a shooting in which a lot of people were injured and there is only like 1 death.. 9 times out of 10 it will be a black person doing something that is gang related. They can't shoot for shite.

And the person who was killed probably had nothing to do with whatever situation this was over.

Someone needs to teach them how to locate their target, aim and then shoot. But they probably roll up, holding the gun sideways shooting in the general direction of the person they are trying to get.

This reminds me, I recently finished a book about Whitey Bulger, there was a hit on some bookie and Whitey and another guy were assigned to kill him (this was in their earlier days) and they killed 3 or 4 random people, thinking they were the bookie, until they actually killed the bookie.

In their mind, they justified all of their killings as "just business".
