This isn't directed at anyone in particular but those of you over in Lafayette and who may know those involved or just feel scared because of this happening in your city, I'm saying some prayers and sending y'all support.

Scary world we live in sometimes. Y'all be safe.

I know there are two deaths, any updates on those that are in critical condition?

exactly. I work for a Class III FFL and sell guns, suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, you name it.

trust me. every state goes through the process when dealing with FFLs

Three confirmed deaths, including the shooter. No official word on those in critical condition.

I'm guessing you meant to say that.

not quite the same. all use the NICS system, but in different ways (full, partial, or non point of contact)

I missed most of this thread tonight because I was out with some friends, but this is just a few blocks away from where my sister and aunt and uncle live. Luckily my aunt and uncle were out of town and my sister was still at work, but it is terrifying to read about this in our home state.

Prayers to the wounded and the families of those that were killed. May they rest in peace.

I am in shock. I am very close with people that were involved. Why hurt innocent people?

The two teachers are doing great.

Both were shot. Both expected to be okay. The one named Ali already released. The other named Jena is said to be quite heroic and possibly saved many by pulling the fire alarm.

Not sure, but he lived with his 96-year old mother Mary

I'll also add that a friend of mine from high school posted on facebook that he was supposed to be in the theater tonight for that screening but last minute they changed their plans. It was always easy to move past these things before, but now that it is so close to home it is that much more terrifying.

My wife was in there this past weekend with her niece to watch that minions movie. I was at work and couldn't have done anything. Way too close to home.
