We have certain limitations on the first amendment when it comes to free speech why some of us have to drag our feet on the second amendment is mind boggling.

Do we?

Consequences are not limitations.

Inciting people to commit violence......not legal
Committing violence with a firearm......not legal

It is a mental health issue I believe also. I think it's as simple as start telling children NO once in a while. Don't give trophies for everything and hold kids accountable for their actions. The last one will take more work because the parents need to get involved which is a huge problem today. I assure you my mom was involved with me when I was in school and I took the arse whippings to prove it ( I deserved all of them btw). These kids have zero conflict resolutions so they react the only way they think is appropriate. Responsible gun owners have no problems with gun laws, we have plenty of them, but they have problems with infringing on the rights of citizens to bear arms.

Several issues leading to some of these shootings that should be addressed.
Mental health
The glorification of thug culture
general disregard for life.

I mean, look at our (LSU) wide receiver using an imaginary gun and shooting motion to celebrate a touchdown. Why would that even come into your mind to celebrate with that motion.

Overall kids are killing less than before. So it’s not really a “kids are worse these days” issue

Shall not be infringed

in-fringe
-act so as to limit or undermine (something); encroach on.

Dude, I'm pretty reasonable when it comes to gun laws, but this is just a fricking lie.

TBH it's probably an everything issue. Kids are increasingly isolated, increasingly spoiled, increasingly scared, increasingly hopeless. Adults too. Alienated by peers. Worse in the post-COVID/social media eras. Targeted by extremist viewpoints from all angles, because they're listless and easy marks. Parenting is awful and passive. Parents are incredibly self-absorbed. Schools lack clear direction/objectives. Government tells you up is down and the media blatantly lies on the behalf of every institution in the land. Becoming an influencer is the penultimate goal for youth. Kids are taught to catastrophize everything. Don't aspire to have a family because of climate change/high cost of living/etc. If you're a guy you're inherently toxic.

The US has among the lowest amount of psychiatric beds available of anywhere in the western world.

We have to drastically change how we handle mental illness in this country.

Why are you acting like America doesn’t have gun laws? Also, we have zero information yet as to how this person obtained the firearm. If he stole it from his dad who successfully passed a background check, what regulation besides outright confiscation would stop shootings like this?

You also contradict yourself. You say you don’t want the govt to ban weapons or confiscation weapons, but’s that exactly how the regulations work in Europe.

In conclusion, you are an ignorant frick who is woefully ill informed about gun policy
