Oh yeah, that's right. That part of the bible does not count.
Oh those ten commandments too. I guess Christians discard those too

These people have weak faith if some school teacher can turn them into Muslims in a week or two.
I managed to read Harry Potter -- despite the reservations of my pastor -- without becoming radicalized to the teachings of Hogwarts.

Yes they in fact do. Christians live under God's grace if they know what's good for them.

Such BS. They probably mentioned the word Islam in a class along with other religions and this patriot hero wannabe parent went all bonkers.
Why is it not surprising that you would assume the side of the argument leaning toward Muslim?

Gotta love that separation of church and state.
Well only hear screaming about that when it's some type of protestant religion involved.

We don't know if the school crossed the line or not. The linked article is very editorialized

This. The fact is both sides are ridiculous. The school isn't trying to convert anyone but if you did a two week segment on Christianity and one day on Islam, the school would also have lawsuits.
This seems pretty much like common sense. Teach everything and stop listening to crybabies.

Have you actually read the bible? A basic Christian tenet is that Jesus came to fulfill the law because no one could live under the law and not fail. This is not a hard concept even if you don't believe in the religion.

I got baited into a reroute. I personally have not problem with teaching Islam in schools and don't believe the school did anything wrong in having student learn the tenets and to memorize shite.
On the other hand, you know perfectly well that schools have to super careful about how they teach christianity as well. In a lot of ways, common sense is getting thrown out the window.
Also, if you honestly believe christians are compelled to kill and you're not being argumentative, so be it. The book can be convoluted mess. I am sure the Quran is the same way and most Muslims don't feel compelled to kill infidels.

Well, considering all the evidence, the story being on FOX NEWS and the Internet, it has to be true!!!! I am outraged.

Why do liberals staunchly defend/take the side of Muslims? It makes no sense really. They are the antithesis of pretty much everything liberals are supposed to believe in.
ETA: This lawsuit is most definitely overblown, and I don't mind schools teaching different religions in history class, including Islam.

Dumbass Trump voter cannot grasp the concept that learning an idea is not an endorsement of said idea.

Actually there is no debate whether a man named Jesus lived during that time frame or not. There are more historical documents proving his existence than Julius Caesar(other than the Bible ex:Roman, Greek, and other ancient documents) . The question is whether he was who he said he was. I think He was, you don't.
