Didn’t Ross date an Asian woman? Wasn’t Ross Jewish? Pretty damn sure it was an assumption that Phoebe was Bi. Everyone thought Chandler was gay until he started dating Monica.

It kinda was for the early 90’s.
It’s easy to look in the past and judge/criticize things back then through the view point of today.
And remember, for the most part, the 90’s were more open and diverse than the 70’s.
