I’m 22 so I’m at the age where a few friends are starting to get engaged/marrying, and I just see that as extremely young, but maybe I’m just immature.

People who married early, let’s say before 23, do you regret it?

People who married at a later age, we’ll say 35 and older, do you wish you would have earlier?

I'll paste my answer here from the other board

I was 22. Turned 23 a month later.

Wife was 21. She turned 22 a month later (our birthdays are 3 days apart).

Just had our 9th anniversary last month

Served in the Air Force together, have since left the service, have civilian jobs, bought a house, and just had our second child last month (a girl--we also have a son who turned 3 last month).

No regrets

dont get married early man.

do the shite you want to do. save money, buy things you want, travel. don't jump in unless you found someone you absolutely can't be without. and even if you do, no need to rush it.

being able to just say frick it i want to fly (insert city) with a couple friends for a weekend and not have to worry about another persons opinion or schedule

First time I was 19. Married the first sexual partner I had. Big mistake. I didn’t sow my wild oats.

Your brain won’t finish developing until you’re 26. Don’t even consider it until then.

When my wife and I got married we had a talk about kids. We both wanted 1 more and that was it but we also agreed that we should wait a year. We found out she was pregnant 2 days later. Oh well, nice talk, here we go

shite, I'm still tryna figure this thing out myself I got lucky.

If you get married young, the couple has to allow each other to continue to mature and blossom into the full person they're meant to be. Most that get married 23 and younger have precious little real life (post-school) experience, so as those experiences pile up and (necessarily) change the person, hopefully their spouse is able to accommodate that. My wife and I definitely aren't the same people we were 12 years ago when we started dating at A&M, but we've allowed each other to grow in the past decade-plus, and doing so allowed us to grow closer in the process. And we'll have to continue to do that in the coming years. That never ends.

Got married at 20 the first time. Big mistake.

Married again at 35 and have no regrets. My wife got married early her first time and it ended in disaster. Been married for 15 years now and actually wish I had met her before I got married the first time.
