That's my old stomping grounds. Do you know a guy named Matt S? If you know him, you know me.

This feels like a projection post, OP. You like being a cuck, admit it.

What type of bar are you talking abut? I’ve been married for 10 years and we go out for dinner and drinks pretty much every weekend. We will usually end up at a local brewery or bar that caters to adults. We don’t shut down the college bars or anything tho, if that’s what you’re talking about. BTW, we don’t have kids, so what else am I supposed to do on Friday & Saturday night?

How old are you and where are you from that you call them “bar rooms”?

We used to hang out there in the mid 90s. I'd be surprised if we haven't run into each other. Good times

My parents used to go to the bar at Bennigan's when they wanted a nice night out. I feel like any other bar is a step up from that.

The lost cove.

I distinctly remember my buddy trying to buy a bottle of cognac for 1000 bucks

I haven't been that drunk in 15 years

I don't know about them but my wife and I both like Scotch and in a place like The Lost Cove, Churchills or The River Room a $200 tab is damn easy to run up for two people without even being drunk.

Ohhh. The Ole FQD. It's a nice joint now huh?
Gotcha. I was just curious as to what the hell bar on Essen could cost that much these days.

My sister and BIL do it fairly often. They have been married almost 40 years. They have slowed down some in the last 5-10 years but have many coupe friends that go together. Never saw it as a problem.

Yes, the old French Quarter Daquiries. It used to be in Citiplace and was called the Cove. The dude that owns the group it is eccentric as hell and once in a while when he sees us he will bring us a dram of one of the Scotches or Whiskey from the "unaffordable" shelf. The last one the bartender later told us was $350 a pour, it was a sherry cask Yamazaki.

Well old fashions were 12 bucks or so. But at some point I switched to a dark rye and it went down hill

Poor gf got food poisoning from something in the creamy drinks she was having, or the louies club after. Poor thing.

She's still a little off.

The damned wine we had at the restaurant before is what did me in

I’m more concerned about people who still use the term bar room.

We rarely went once we were married. We've probably been in a bar 2-3 times in the past 8 years.

I’ve been married for 2 years and there’s been a drop from dating to marriage but I hope it’s never this bad, lol.
