Only thing worse are those who share an account and communicate thru it. Sad.

I got divorced but even when I was married I wasn't friends with my wife in facebook
But I hated her for years before I booted her arse

But his chances to let it really shine were few and far between.
For the last ~3 years I’ve had the same group of 3 best friends. None of them use social media.
The difference in the quality of time spent with them compared to a group of people who are obsessed with it is staggering.

It's a sign of insecurity. I know of at least two couples that do is. One couple is always on the verge of divorce mostly because of financial struggles from trying to live above their means but desperately trying to maintain that wholesome family image. The other couple I'm 95% sure that the wife is posting on both accounts because the husband is a complete pushover.

The couples who post how much in love they are almost always end up divorced or one is having an affair

Most underrated post of the thread. I also think you meant ex-wife or soon to be ex-wife.

Pretty much this. But I guess that's what you get with social media. It's all an attention whore fest. I don't engage in it at all any more.

Is this not one of the most cringe inducing things ever?
For instance, when a woman shares something such as the feelgood video of the day (i.e. you won't believe how they helped this homeless person), and then in the comments her husband replies with something like, "Oh honey, this video is totally you! You're so selfless!"
My gf and I communicate on FB publicly.
It's usually me posting a pic of her looking really stupid or really cute.
Either way I get the same response from her in the comments.
"You're frickin retarded."
Followed by a bunch of a-hole comments from my friends like
"Girl. You're a Saint. How do you deal with him?"

The example you gave is kind of what and what other than the cringeworthy comment but if s video is on Facebook, so be it.
What I don’t understand is couples that wish each other happy birthday or anniversary on fb? Did you not tell them in person this morning? Or maybe you’re not at the same same location, but why not call them.

I quit FB years ago.
Had an ex who stalked me and hacked my FB account. She changed my “interested in” from “women” to “men.”
I didn’t find out until dudes started showing up in my Tinder
.
I couldn’t understand how my swipe preferences led Tinder to conclude I was gay (I’m not). Turns out, if you register with your FB account, it takes your sexual preference from your FB About page and shows you people accordingly.
I mean, it’s kinda funny and not at the same time. Being stalked IRL and online is serious shite. Had I done that to her, I’d probably just be getting out of prison about now (this was fall of 2014).
But the unfriending of all my female friends and announcing that I’m gay after hacking my account is pretty funny I guess.
I had quit FB years prior, FWIW, so I didn’t even notice it for at least a month.
Yeah yeah, CSB (or not so CSB).

I don’t go on Facebook as much as I used to and now I check out Instagram but the same rule applies... 90% of the time you see a post by the guy or girl in the relationship talking about how much they love their significant other or how great their life is, they just spent the previous few hours in a fight.

Eh, Facebook is a veneer anyway.
It’s the life you want everyone to think you live.
