I did well in high school and got a full ride to State. Granted, State isn’t the most prestigious school, but it beats debt.
I did well at State and got a full ride to law school. My wife worked and we lived in a crappy 500sqft apt with no AC until I became a lawyer.
No student loans for me.
My wife also had a full ride at State and also got a full ride to the same law school and attended after I graduated.
So two adults with law degrees and zero student loans. It is possible, but not everyone is cut out for it.

Literally.
BRCC's nursing program -- and technology for training --- is incredible. Might be the best in the city, edging out Fran U.

JFC.
We spend more on education per capita, with lower results, than most developed nations.
It's our population, about a third aren't capable of learning beyond 6th grade.

For once, I agree with Mark Cuban...

Your figures still add up to $32,200 for the four year stint. How many 18 year olds have an extra $32K?

Only thing is, freshman year is amazing. Meanwhile CC is sad.

I’ll go a step further. In 2026 it’s dumb even if you have $150k in cash.

Not only a different time for education but for the job market as well. This probably plays a part in why he’s saying this

The cost of college has gone dramatically up and the value of a college degree has gone dramatically down.

When y'all disagree about something do y'all lay out your points like lawyers?
Y'all could make YouTube vids on all the typical married people arguments.

Everything is covered, food, housing... plus she got a start up grant.

That's easier said than done. LSUE had so many classes not transfer over to ULL and LSU. So basically you're wasting time and money for those 2 years.

It’s a top 40 (but not T14) law school on the east coast.

The 2+2 model isn't always achievable, and really just depends on what you're planning on studying for a major. Not every CC credit is going to transfer to a 4 year school in the major you might be pursuing.
Just make college free, problem solved.

The cost of education has exploded partly or mainly because there is government money to help pay for it.
My 7 years of post secondary education cost ~$110k in the 80s. Room and board for under and tuition only for grad. That was a LOT of money then, but the same education costs right at $570k today. The ROI can still be good, but you have to be fully employed with those degrees. Don't do so well in grad school and you could be under a pile of debt that would be hard to dig out of.
