Going to tell you all something I am learning in a subsection of my line of business which is insurance.

I've spoken to several HR VP's recently who are not amused by all of this. The way they put it, it's all fun and games with the celebs and politicians but the real deal is going to be precedent in the workplace. Corporate insurance for this type of suit is big business and there is some serious consideration to workplace harassment going on behind many a closed door. Do not test this new trend. Don't do it.

The only one I know about was at an event in NOLA.

A lady spilled red wine all over her shirt and Batali said here let me clean that for you and started rubbing her tits.

Yeah...

Is it a flat rate or do they give you a score like workers comp?

A lot of odd shite goes on in Kitchens. "Waiting" was very accurate.
That shite ain't flying anymore.

Restaurant kitchens were one of the last bastions of completely politically incorrect behavior.

No more.

Census but all it takes is one suit to cripple a business, contingent on the businesses financial solvency of course.

As I said in the food board thread read the book Heat - which is a good read and all he talks about is groping women. This is far from surprising.

I don’t think Bourdain is this upset over Batali acting like a normal kitchen a-hole.

This one doesn't surprise me. I remember him on the food network 15 or so years ago and thinking he looked like a pedophile. That part may not be so, but he is definitely creeptastic.

I feel like he was chosen in that celebrity harassment pool. Did anyone take him?

Restaurant culture. I’ve worked at bars where managers were banging cocktail waitresses or random bar flys in the office.

There's no way the restaurant industry is going to change, it's ingrained into the very fabric of it. Chain places will but they already are pretty pc, but regular non-chain places? No way.

You think this girl has to go out in the woods with an old record player, an umbrella covered in foil, and a speak and spell when she wants to call her dad?
