Vail was fun this year, but Breckenridge >>>>>> Vail.

I so miss our Mardi Gras ski trips in college.

We were all so poor, but we always managed enough money to all pack into my roommates Mom's van, make the trip to Red River (the closest and cheapest place to ski), sleep in the van parked in hotel parking lots in freezing temps, all just to ski on nasty ice/slush most years

Great memories

Headed to Park City. Not a great snow year, but we will make the best of it. 3rd time going to Park City, headed back in March as well. I may snowmobile, or dog sled if the snow sucks.

Not so sure about that unless you’re weighing night life over actual skiing conditions

I had a much better time in Breckenridge, and liked the mountain better. But it's personal preference.

Snow skiing looks fantastic and I love the idea of getting some seriously good exercise from Cross-country skiing.

Downhill skiing is too risky for me now because I'll crack my skull BUT:

What about Cross country skiing? Surely THIS activity must be safe. Is it?

You'll likely fall down a lot while learning. But yeah, I'd have to say it's safer, if only because there are rarely crowds on the trails.

Cross country skiing looks like a hell of an exercise and it’s pretty flat for the most part. Lots of older mountain folk do it to keep in shape and enjoy the scenery

1. wear a helmet

2. it's not fun unless you are scaring yourself a little bit
