Russia seems too small. Even a smaller version should still be big enough to stretch from Poland to N Korea. Even with the smaller versions of Asia all smashed together the puzzle piece doesn’t fit.

The differences in map projections are absolutely not a part of regular elementary curriculums

You see a globe and an atlas, yes. But no second grade teacher is explaining to 6 year olds why maps aren’t geographically proportional.
