Has anyone did a weekend retreat over there? I'm thinking about going to one. Any experiences?

Look forward to it every year.

You go with a group or by yourself with others?

I've been meaning to go. Always heard wonderful things.

I would love to do it, but I am unsure of the process to get invited/accepted.
Here is a thread from last year with some info.

I have gone every year for the last 11 years...2 weeks before Easter.
I am one of the 4 annual groups that does a Sunday evening to Wednesday afternoon retreat rather than the normal Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon.
I look forward to this 4 day retreat every year. When the last day arrives, I am bummed that I actually have to start speaking to people again
If you are interested--you can hit me offline--we usually have a couple openings every year--many of the guys are older, and we lose a couple each year.
The drawback of my group, however, is that you will need to take 3 days off work, and many can't swing it.
The max number is 111 men per retreat.

Jesuits aren't monks.
ETA, just realized that whole thing always an unfunny goof. There's plenty of humorous things one could come up with about the Jesuits. Whatever you quoted there went like three paragraphs without coming close.

I made my first one this year. It's a nice relaxing, introspective experience. Unless you go to confession, it's not a retreat where you sit around and discuss your feelings.

How does registration work?

My dad has been going in October for the last probably 20 years or so with a group of his buddies. I too plan on going eventually. I hear it's great for the soul.

It's awesome! Go in winter, though. I heard the skeeters in the summer are brutal .
Very peaceful . It's a nice place to "recharge the life batteries.
