Manhunt underway for LaTech student wanted in N.O. murder

News said he was about to graduate with an Aviation Degree
Police say the shooting happened during the Mardi Gras parade. They say it happened in the 2400 block of St. Charles Avenue, where the alleged suspect and victim got into an altercation. The suspect then fired shots. Reports say the victim died at the hospital.

This is the danger of carrying a concealed weapon. I obviously don't know the details of this situation, but I doubt that his life was in danger. I would guess that tempers flared and he has ruined his life and the lives of his family...

Even if it was, you pretty much lose the option of claiming justifiable homicide and self defense when you crank off several rounds into a Mardi Gras crowd and then go on the run for several days.

Coworker had just left the parade and was in parking garage across the street. Said he heard the shots and looked over the ledge of the parking garage and saw the one guy with the head shot just shaking on the ground.
