The Mandela Effect is an observed phenomenon in which a large segment of the population misremembers a significant event or shares a memory of an event that did not actually occur.

I would have answered the million dollar question in field of dreams that the quote was “build it and they will come”. Nope , “it is build it and He will come”

The Berenstein Bears Didn't Exist
The lovable cartoon bear family actually spelled their last name with an "a": The Berenstain Bears.

Oscar Mayer
One of the most confounding of all: There's an "A" in "Mayer"?! Honest to goodness, we thought it was Meyer.

Skechers
Less sketchy than most, people have been befuddled to see that there's no "T" in Skechers.

Froot Loops
Kellogg had been spelling fruit like that for years and we only noticed it now ... wowza.

Fruit of the Loom Logo
It used to have a cornucopia behind the fruit ... right? Right?!

Cheez-It or Cheez-Itz?
We swear, there used to be an extra "z" at the end! What.is.happening.

C-3PO Has a Silver Leg
Even the biggest Star Wars fans (and Halloween costume sites) get it wrong. The robot isn't all gold; he has one silver piece on his right leg.

Life is Like a Box of Chocolates"
... is not what Forrest Gump (played by the amazing Tom Hanks) actually said. If you listen closely he says, "Life was like a box of chocolates." We're regretting all of those Instagram captions right about now ...

Seriously? One of the major themes is how he thinks it's about Shoeless Joe but it is really about his father.

quote:

he will come

So pretty lame Mandela effect.

"Luke, I am your father."

But yeah, that Fruit of the Loom cornucopia is messing with me. I would have sworn it was in the logo.

Same here. But I never really paid that close attention to my underwear tags growing up.

I was at my grandmother's house years ago and pulled one of the Berenstain Bears books, and verified that it is an A. I definitely would've guessed an E previously though.

The Mandela effect isn’t real. It’s stupid to think it does. It’s just incorrectly remembering things.

"Mandela Effect" is the name we've given to the phenomenon where many people misremember something in a similar way. In what way is it not "real"?

BS, I will always call them Cheez-itz. “I’m gonna buy a box of Cheez-It.” sounds dumb.
