You said there was zero evidence that we could potentially face more drastic measures.
Which, by the way, is right. There is no evidence. You don't take what's been done already and try to connect your own dots to predict the future and call that "evidence". If that was the case, then every single person out there who struggles with anxiety has a head loaded with evidence.

quote:

Then you brushed off measures that have already been taken (and which many of us consider drastic) as if they were no big deal,
And this is where you're 100% assuming. It also tells me how horrific your reading comprehension is, because A.) I do not (and did not) brush it off as being no big deal, and B.) what I wrote does not even hint at that. If you could comprehend past middle school level, you would get that I was saying everything that has been done is more than enough, we can't go much further than that and it still be feasible.

Really man? Really? Are you just trying to pick an e-fight or did I really have to explain that to you?

I seriously doubt a full on lockdown -martial law will be happening.

Something to keep in mind is this is an election year. Trump has been handling this crisis fairly well so far I believe. Martial law would be an absolute death penalty to his hopes of being reelected.

Yes there is.

That's exactly what evidence is. It's proof that something has occurred. We have evidence that extreme measures have been taken. We can use that evidence to support a hypothesis that more extreme measures may be taken. Doesn't mean that we would be right, but how do you think hypotheses are supported.

Can you shut the frick up with your reading comprehension assertions. Making inferences is absolutely a part of reading comprehension.

Wow, you're fricking stupid. Take the "L", Corkie. Don't blame me because you suck at reading comprehension. But I can't say that I'm surprised based on the way you held yourself in this little debate.

What makes you think nation wide martial law would work in the US? People here won’t listen. I doubt we have the man power to properly enforce that nation wide. Too many people, too much land to cover, and people here won’t listen.

Plus this would be a blow to Trump in a re-election year.

I hope you're right but would you have thought they would shut every bar and restaurant down for a month?

For fricks sake, I'm convinced some of you ignorant fricks can't read. But, here you are....reading and posting on a message board, so you must be able to at least pick up a few words.
Try reading a damn article or press release instead of just some sensational headline. Restaurants are not closed. Grocery stores are not closed. You can order takeout from most any place you want. Grocery stores, while being emptied by the crazies, are and will remain open. They are not included in the "gatherings over 50 people" suggestion.
Just fricking read something other than damn facebook or whatever other bullshite you all insist on calling factual!
