I flip through radio stations on my drive to work and the Crap-Rock Station was drooling over this song. I'm a huge fan of the original, so I gave it a listen. Overrated. He has a great voice, but it's not awe inspiring. It's more just a surprise since he sounds like shite in most of the other music they play. The song is more powerful than anything. And I give that credit to Paul Simon and to a lesser extend Art Garfunkel.
Love Disturbed's cover. It takes the song and flips it with a whole new range of emotion.
Most of their stuff is meh, but Prayer is another that is powerful.

This is the biggest problem these days.. These "rock" stations are playing hipster mumford and sons crap and no actual rock. Sadly, satellite radio is the only option for actual rock music now.

Emphatically loved this band and everything they put out, until I finally got to see them in Atlanta in 2002. I left that concert and pretty much never listened again. Scott Stapp level douchiness.

He's no Chris Cornell.

Their truly devoted fans will hate that song but as a music fan I can appreciate his control and ability to evoke emotion into the song. Pretty impressive

Aaron Lewis, Howard Jones, Ivan Moody, are all much better, IMO.

and Pandora, and Spotify, and Youtube
The problem is there aren't very many new acts coming out.
The last "new" act that I have liked is "Rise Against" and they were formed in freaking 1999
I was seriously let down by the new Sick Puppies album...

This will be extremely unpopular, but I prefer Disturbed's cover to the original.
The hokiness of Simon and Garfunkel took away from the extremely powerful and beautiful lyrics of the song. This fit Draiman's vocal range and emotion better than S & G.

I've been a Disturbed fan for years. While I don't like seeing him cover this masterpiece, I do feel like his rendition of it was pretty damn good. The emotion he invokes in his voice is pretty impressive.

Illiterate? Or just so triggered by differing musical opinions that it brings out the douchebag in you?
