I just read this article last night. This dude lives up near the arctic and admits if the wolf wasn’t sickly or if there were more than one or it didn’t sink in the snow he would be dead.
No way a man dominates a full grown healthy wolf.

If you have a bat and a wolf gets you off balance it would be hard to get a good swing on it. With a knife, with a good stab you can do more damage quicker.

You don't need a good swing. Keep the bat between you and the wolf and jab it with the end until you have *it* off balance.

Why do you continue to insist that a man can fight a wild animal approximately his same size? We are not designed with any weapons nor superior strength to any animal approximately our same weight. We just aren’t. We are much smarter than the rest and that is why we dominate. Pitching a man against an animal, much less a strictly predatory creature close to equal size for physical combat is not a good bet for a man

That's why he has the bat. We were the apex predator on earth well before we had ranged weapons. A man with a club is above 90% of the foodchain

Have you not seen that documentary, The Grey? It was about Liam Neeson’s early life in the wilderness. The wolves killed like 10 of his friends.

And like I said, a bat may make better odds but it’s still the wolf’s fight to lose. wolves can take down elk and moose. (I know I know team work) but they are still strong enough to kill things 4-8 times bigger than a man with no additional tools. Large predators are fricking bad arse man
