I'm not trying to be rude. But arteries work in a certain way and I don't think you understand the way that that is.

I absolutely do, but I'm still fully confident I (or an other adult man) would be perfectly capable of dispatching any 1 dog bare handed. Yes you'll get bitten, maybe take a lot of damage. Potentially even bleed out, but the dog would be dead first. No question I could pick him up and slam him hard enough to kill him.

ETA: I wasn't your downvote

Yes, but like I said I think it all comes down to position... Who is successful in the first move.

Exactly. Man gets a good kick into the dog's ribcage, dog gets a good chunk of the dominant arm.

That size of a man could probably beat the dog to death.

What if we drop the size of the human? Let's say the human is 5'8" 145 lbs?

Also, what if the human is female? Would that play a factor?

It definitely changes things. How could it not?

There's only one breed of dog I would be worried about. Pit bulls. Sons of bitches are mean.

Bro, you ever heard of a leg break throw? That damn GS wouldn't stand a chance against me. Most people when attacked by dogs go into a defensive mode. You start breaking them down literally limb by limb, that dog isnt' doing shite. Them Russians know how to deal with them.

An adult heart pumps blood at several litres per minute.
An adult has about 4 or 5 litres of blood.
So if say your brachial artery were severed, you could bleed to death in a 3-5 minutes. Keep in mind you'll exsanguinate at the rate relative to your heartbeat. Your heartbeat will probably be quickened due to the fight or flight response.

So yes, picking it up or pummeling it with your fist is very possibly. But all it takes is for the dog to get a hold of a limb during the scuffle and the tables will have turned, my friend.

No it absolutely doesn't change a thing. The average male is the exact same as an average female.

No they aren't. In fact they're consistently very close to #1 in temperament tests. But they would definitely be the most formidable opponent of all breeds.

That's a pyrrhic victory at best my friend. There is no victor in a fight to the death if both combatants die.

You are correct, but that's worst case scenario. Odds would be extremely low.

If I were you, I would add the Neapolitan Mastiff to the list. The one I met was a show dog, so he was 100% calm, but that animal was like a small lion.

And I always remember the owner's words - "If they do see you as a threat, things can be very different for you in about 5 seconds."
