Man shot in the head at the Fountain Motel on Airline Highway near Goodwood Boulevard.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. at the Fountain Motel on Airline Hwy. The scene is a half a mile from Baton Rouge Police Headquarters.
Officials confirm to UWK that a man was shot in the head at the motel. He was transported to the hospital in serious condition, EMS officials say.
The suspect, according to sources, fled to a nearby car dealership where he held a woman at gunpoint. The sources say the suspect then stole her vehicle.
A suspect description has not been provided. It’s also not clear what kind of vehicle the suspect fled in.

First, my thoughts go out to the man that was shot in the head.
Next, I hope the Human Resources team at the Fountain Motel does the right thing and brings in some Professional Counselors for the Fountain Motel Staff - if they need someone to talk to tomorrow.
