if you have to go to work to have something to do on a daily basis, then you are an extremely boring person IMO

i love filet mignon. however it would get old fast if i made it every single day

So If I get up and make bkfst every morning, then get a good workout in finishing up around 8:30 am or so, that would leave me with 3 hrs or so to play guitar and record music in my studio. Then it's time to cook lunch. Then lets put an hr in tending to the garden. That puts us at 1pm. Then it's working on the various woodworking projects I have going on, and will always have going on as Im considering starting a small business. That's not including in house projects or any yardwork. Fishing season is here as well and when winter time rolls around I will be in a deer stand/duck blind every single morning. There's also scouting before either season and then blind prep for duck blinds. I dont have kids yet, so that's another big portion of my life that would get devoted time.

yer got damn right!
I recently purchased a 2nd home and have been doing a remodel to it for the last 1.5 months. A typical day is getting off of work at 4pm, driving to 2nd house, working until 10pm or so and then coming back home. My personal life, friends & family, and hobbies have been put on hold for almost 2 months now and it never seems like there is enough time in the day. I could slap someone for saying that there would every be TOO MUCH time in the day. There's never too much time in the day. At least that's how I feel right now.

It said in the article he manages his portfolio which may keep him pretty busy since he relies on it for income. I work a month on month off rotational schedule and almost always find stuff to do to keep myself occupied when not working, don't see that being a problem in retirement which I'm hoping to be around age 45-50 then consult as I want from there.

Retiring at 37 sounds like it could get boring, especially if you are on a budget as I would imagine. If I had it my way, I'd rather work like 20-30 hours a week and just make a little less... like a pseudo-retirement

Is he still living on the ultra tight budget now that he's retired?

How much does seven figures cover for 50 years with kids going to college, vacations, car maintenance and purchases, house maintenance, new clothes, hobbies, etc?

I mean, I understand that it would be a comfortable life if you invested well, but a million dollars is twelve years of the combined salary between my wife and me. Certainly not 50 and certainly not with extra costs like funding a few kids going to college.
