Why would he be effed for life with this one? He got away with his fourth one. The judicial system should bear some of the blame for enabling this kind of crap .

Ride the bus or call a cab. Or just walk to a gas station.
I get irresponsibly drunk most every time I go to the bar. So if I'm going to the bar, I figure out a way to get there that doesn't involve my car being anywhere around the place...even if it involves "having a couple of drinks".
If you can't afford a cab, you can't afford to be out drinking anyway.
