Had a really old Cajun dude who lived next door to me in Thibodaux when I was little who could do something similar...crazy.

How is that a yellow jacket nest? Every yellow jacket I've come across was in the ground. And, I killed every one with my bare hands. By carrying a can of gas over to the hole after dusk and pouring it in.

As far as wasp nests--which this appears to be--I've pulled down plenty with leather gloves, and they wouldn't be that bad to handle with bare hands--especially if the weather is cooler.

I still just grab em if it is a little cool

I prefer wasp spray that knocks them out of the air on contact.

You feel like you are in a dog fight in your yard as you try to shoot them out of the air.
