Already have kid and he already has two caves.
Already have guest room.
Parents loaded on both sides of family, if they have to move in because they can’t take care of themselves then they aren’t competent enough to manage their money so I get POA etc and would happily give up my $7k man cave with a new budget of $14m that I could use for box seats and a condo next to the stadium while grandma watches Property Brothers in my basement and babysits the kids for me. Not a bad deal.

A couple comments...
1) The term "man cave" needs to die. It reminds me of an episode of house hunters where each person has their "thing" and they have to inject that question into every house/room they enter. "Do you think I could use this for my man cave?"
2) Unless you're going to pay someone to serve you drinks, including a bar is a waste of both space and money. They work when someone is behind them making and serving drinks. What you need is a beer cooler/wine fridge/liquor bar, all of which can be against or built into the wall
3) Urinal

Parents were self starters that insisted their children make their own futures.

Spent 50k. It’s more of a media room though. Native 4k projector, Stewart Screen, McIntosh equipment built into wall, AV closet on the other side of the room that is insulated, cooled/heated, and has own ventilation.

Basically her dad is estranged and left the family when they were very young. Her mom then went to GT for bachelor and masters in engineering while working and raising three kids on her own, and made a shite ton of money in engineering.
So when my wife was ready to go to college, a few years later than most folks... her mom was like “congratulations and good luck!”.
Never got a single dime from her.
