You don’t think someone who does not live in a private neighborhood should assume that someone could ask who he was while he was fishing in the neighborhood in which he didn’t live?
Again, definitely not in the way the drunk a-hole did. No excuse for that baw. But the victim is acting like he’s shocked and profiled…for being where he doesn’t live.

I didn’t watch the video… but the above is certainly a common occurrence.

The guy was visiting a friend in a gated neighborhood. The friend wasn’t home and he was fishing in the pond.
Granted, he says he had permission, so there’s no issue. But you’d have to expect the chance of someone asking who you are when you do not live there.
Again, you can’t do it in the way the drunk a-hole did. Not making excuses for him at all.

If I were Queen of the HOA, I think I’d propose a rule that guests can only enjoy the use of amenities in the presence of the residents they are visiting.
Might fix a lot of these issues. Drunken assholes and cranky Karens.

Based on the video, the "victim" seems to take most of the issue with the way the drunk a-hole handled the situation.
And then dropping a hard r n-word towards him kinda gives it away that Madere was motivated by a little something more than just looking out for his private neighborhood.

But that's not what happened according to the video. Did you watch?
Ol boy was finished fishing and was beginning to head OUT of the neighborhood. Madere chased him down in his truck and then blocked his exit. That's when the video picks up.

Obviously I wasn't there and can't comment on what actually happened. But speaking from experience as someone who has lived neighborhoods with private ponds, non-residents showing up and just fishing at their leisure is a common occurrence. They will park in people's yards, block half of the road, become obnoxious while fishing, etc. And RARELY do they just leave when confronted. Best case scenario they just lie and say a resident gave them permission. Worst case they get combative at a resident who has the "audacity" question them about fishing on private property.
The right ingredients for a big blow up is an a-hole resident who thinks he/she is supercop of the neighborhood combined with a trespasser with an FU attitude.

You still got some downvotes. It’s not even surprising that a lot of Louisianians believe they can fish or hunt anywhere on someone’ else’s property. Bet if the tables were flipped they’d have the same position as you.
I’ve dealt with this many times and went away from being nice. There’s many public waters in the state to fish.

The black guy gave a nice polished interview. He was bothered by the n word that much , granted it’s in a different context during the standoff , but his Facebook videos is littered with n words and graphic ghetto talk. He sounds a little nutty himself. Not defending MM one bit though.

What was he fired for? Sounds like a pillar of the community.

The videos also show the black fishing guy bringing out the homeowner that gave him access to the pond. Idiot drunk chiro at one point gets out of his car in the owner’s driveway to fight them both as his kids are screaming. Insane that people are trying to devil’s advocate this.

It's not that. It's that he acted like a complete psychopath during the confrontation. That so extremely far off from how that should have been handled.

I’ve seen a lot of HOA people bitching. The racist drunk idiot aside, i see a lot of these nice stocked ponds with nobody fishing. This a-hole is like people complaining when teenagers go trick or treating. Would you rather them be doing illegal shite? If some adults want to go fish, let them fish. It’s good relaxing fun. This shite about littering is usually teenagers who weren’t taught to fish.
I’d love to whip that dudes arse for being a racist piece of shite. Then take him fishing. Mother fricker would wake up on a boat.

Maybe this neighborhood didn’t have such a rule since it looks like its pretty small and doesn’t have a pool or other amenities besides just being gated.

Some dude with the same name as the drunk racist is getting harassed on FB.

I hate to use the word “triggered” but damn, that scream unlocked memories. Having a drunk dad who goes into irrational vigilante mode is a level of hell I wouldn’t wish on anybody. The helplessness you feel as that kid is a nightmare.
I hope his wife uses this as the final straw to GTFO of that marriage.

One thing I will point out.. we’re only seeing one side of this story. Because most have 3… The alleged victim, then the alleged perp and finally the actual truth
There’s literally no side that will justify him acting that way with his kids in the car. I don’t care if Marlon whipped out his junk before the cameras started rolling. You don’t do any of that with your kids present.

My comment has nothing to do with the idiot. But the general consensus that being on someone else’s property is acceptable.
So if I see a big block of unposted land that means I should be able to hunt it? I bet the 10 that downvoted me would agree again that yes it’s acceptable to hunt too.
This is why LA has so many rules and regs in place.
