Far better music than the New Orleans mardi gras

Funny you say that. I've been to Mamou for Mardi Gras once, in 1989.
I was 13 and all I remember is a lame parade(I was a kid) and bunch of drunk dudes blasting Stevie B's hit song "In My Eyes" from their little Mazda trucks or Toyota Celicas. I still love that song.

Mamou Mardi Gras is 100% NOT cancelled and never will be.
There will be no street dance in town but the real Mardi Gras will be held

Yeah, those people don't live by rules. I doubt they're worried about covid.

the only thing that is not gonna happen is the events that go on in the city. i.e. street dance, bars openning, etc..

the courir (coo DEE) is still on.

Ive been in the area for a few years, this is my last year here.

But I can tell you while Mamou, Eunice, Church Point, etc have "officially" cancelled ,(democrat mayors), that only means the downtown stuff, live music, etc. Which is a shame bc these are poor areas and believe it or not people come from all over and fill these small towns up for a week.

The run is happening. They will just detour and not go downtown to have the ending parade.

Apparently Gueydan Mardi Gras is still on.

Unfortunately both Mamou and Tee Mamou Mardi Gras are cancelled.

did you read the thread?

Mamou street dance and downtown parade are cancelled
The run is still going on, same with Eunice and Cp
Gueydan and Lake Arthur are having there run and passing downtown but they draw a small fraction of the people that the other ones do

Ten ounce cans are preferable.
I agree. A couple extra ounces not needed to tote around. Plus easier to chug and what you have stays colder.
