No, it's an orgy of debauchery dissipation, dissoluteness, degeneracy, corruption, vice, turpitude, depravity, loucheness, rakishness, libertinism, immodesty, indecency, perversion, shamelessness, iniquity, wickedness, sinfulness, sinning, impropriety, lack of morals, lack of principles, immorality, impurity, unchastity, lasciviousness, salaciousness, lechery, lecherousness, lewdness, bawdiness, lust, lustfulness, libidinousness, licentiousness, promiscuity, wantonness, abandonment, abandon, profligacy, decadence, immoderateness, intemperance, lack of restraint, indulgence, self-indulgence, pleasure-seeking, hedonism, sybaritism, voluptuousness, concupiscence, lubricity & salacity.

But other than that, you should be good to go.

It's white 'culcha' on full display. The trailer parks are empty and all of the occupants are drunk out of their minds running thru muddy fields chasing various fowl. If Mr. Peabody & his Pet Boy Sherman took the Way Back Machine they would have thought they were in an ancient uncivilized time.

We just showed up one year and got welcomed on to a random trailer that followed the run. Maybe 2009 or 2010. Had a great time until things started getting a little racist halfway through. We decided we'd seen enough and didn't feel like being called n-word lovers over and over again, so we hopped off and hitchhiked back in to town.

Most people were cool. Most were awesome. A unique experience, for sure. Just a couple bad apples you'd likely find at any Mardi Gras festivity. All in all a good time. I would not take my kids.

Haha at the church point parade they had black dudes on horses and white dudes right next to them wearing rebel flag shite. Normal people don’t care about that shite, they are out to have a good time.

Eunice is pretty good also. Maybe a little more family friendly. I haven’t been to mamou in a long time but it was quite rowdy back 20 years ago. I have been to Eunice a few times in the last few years and it is nice.

I think Mamou is what pushed Bourdain to suicide.
