Let me know how much those batteries cost to get replaced en route to amilli.

Don't they come with lengthy warranties?

Additionally , once the 5-10 year useful life of the EV or of a hybrid vehicle battery pack expires, we are left with the toxic hot mess of heavy metals in these batteries that requires disposal on the order of nuclear waste!

The environmental footprint of the present generation of Electric and hybrid vehicles dwarfs the potential environmental harm of a conventional internal combustion vehicle !

As recently as 2011 when I left the employ of Porsche NA to retire the battery packs used in the manufacture of Porsche's hybrid vehicles were projected to need replacement after 5-6 years @ a cost of $10k.

Plans for disposal involved burying them in sealed underground disposal sites for minimum of hundreds of years !

The goal is to be solar along with the rechargeable stations.

That's not reality though.

that's actually really neat. At least they are adding the charging stations to where you can get around. Do they charge to use them?

Ok still can't get over how Tesla will result in nothing but a huge ponzi scheme when Elon loses his touch.

So much private funding and promises that he will never be able to pay back.

Yes. Used to be free, but they charge now.

Rates differ and have different tiers, but basically here in Texas, it's like 16 cents per minute. It takes an hour or a bit more to charge to 100% from basically 0.

I looked at plug in EVs, range just wasnt quite what I needed with only so so performance for the price.

Ended up picking up a used Infiniti Q50S Hybrid over a WRX and Golf R. Too much car for the money to pass on.

0-60 in under 4.9 sec. Adaptive cruise. Great Audio. Like a rocket 60 to 100. Comfortable. Looks good. 32 mpg combined. Pretty much drives itself when over 45 mph. Tons of tech. For 7,000 less than a Golf R and a couple 1000 less than a new base WRX.

Dont really care about the enviro impact (+ or -). More of a wallet and seat of my pants thing.
