This looks like something out of a bad movie.

Most property damage? Likely

We will continue to see wildfires with greater and greater property damage totals. Not because of climate change or any of that talk, but because we will continue to have more and more people living in direct contact with wilderness/wildfire country. This has played out several times this fire season already, where an area in the Wilderness Urban Inteface is facing devastation from wildfire. We keep expanding farther out which puts more people and more developed property in the path.

Winds are projected to be 85 mph+ til noon tomorrow. Another 12 hours of winds will be catastrophic.

It’s no joke either at 400 acres right now. If it gets to a 1000 and links up with the Palisades fire then holy shite.

Assuming that either Eaton reaches into Pasadena or Palisades reaches Santa Monica you will see massive devastation. Everything is so compact down there the fires will jump and cities will burn. If they were to link up with as far north as they are you’re talking about numerous cities being destroyed including much of Los Angeles proper.

You can bet your arse the Federal Aid will be at everyone's door step as soon as the smoke clears.

Those important democratic voters need our sympathy and money.

This is not considered fire season though.

Those are some chilling images. I hope they can get a handle on it soon or by some miracle, the heavens open with rain.

Frankly, if you're going to have significant federal taxes and spending, this is what it should be used for - not bankrolling conflicts and payrolls/retirements for foreign countries.

The video of the dozer pushing and crushing late model, expensive abandoned cars off the road to clear it was surreal.

This and the video of the huge houses with all glass windows and a pool and huge TV in the living room with flames surrounding it…

It’s these types of thing that try to ground me in reality and realize everything we own is just “stuff” . It can all be gone in a second, but it’s not really important either. It’s still just a car or a tv or house.

This looks horrific for the United States and some pretty landmark beautiful places
