I’ll say this, the storms back in Mississippi, like those near Meridian, are much more of a cluster rather than individual cells. A cluster can still produce tornadoes, but hopefully there’s a lower chance than with truly discrete cells.

Is that two tornado signatures near Tuscaloosa? Finger’s crossed.

There is no need for that here

If I'm downrange of the Tuscaloosa storm (out to Blount county) I would be paying attention. If it doesn't merge into a line it will move into an area that hasn't seen much rain.

Damage in Diaz, AR from a tornado last night. Likely the same storm that impacted Jonesboro and Paragould as Diaz is somewhat southwest of both.

Shockingly looks like this system is deteriorating as it enters Alabama

Like I said earlier, all this convection is choking off the energy

Alabama may dodge a bullet

It’s rained too much in and around Tuscaloosa. The energy isn’t there for a major outbreak.

Hope it continues.

Put the radar in motion and watch the Tuscaloosa storm. Notice how the showers/storms continue to form to its south, merging with the storm. Every time one of those mergers happens it serves to boost the rotations.

Kind of a blob of rain over Tuscaloosa now. I’m hoping it’ll start to hinder the tornado warned storm.

Just had a warning expire here in Murfreesboro. Extremely high wind and monsoon rain.

That was an interesting storm. There were a couple things going on there that led to what it became.

there is probably a MEAN waterspout on Lake Pontchartrain that is going to be moving on-shore

will not be surprised if a tornado warning gets issued for Mandeville
