NWS Little Rock has already released a preliminary rating for the Cave City, AR tornado last night - very high end EF-3

This one will ultimately come my general direction in northern Jefferson County if it continues on its current path.
Hopefully, the rain you're getting will take some of the umph out of it.

Do we have a confirmed total tally so far to see where this outbreak stacks up with 2011?

It isn't anywhere near the total for that day right now (one day total).
It will be days before we know a number on confirmed tornadoes.

This Mississippi storm is taking a very similar path to that 3 mile wide tornado on Easter in 2020.

quote:that’s the whereabouts we’ve been with the tornadoes all day in Laurel with the storms passing just 15-30 mi. west of us and tracking just above us. We had a period of frequent thunder/lightning but other than that just some wind gusts all afternoon. Still in the high risk pink zone with the latest update but been calm for the past 10+ minutes. Might be out of it and headed over that way now
That storm is currently set to track just north of Tuscaloosa, but I would not be surprised to see it take a right turn.

It’s about to smack west Tuscaloosa county but is staying north of the heavy population zones
I’m about five miles south of the polygon

I would treat it as confirmed if it were coming towards me.
