True or false... at least 1 Tornado Watch over the next 2 days will be tagged with a PDS
Posted on 3/14/25 at 5:34 pm to rt3
Given the verbiage from the nws in some of the discussions I’d imagine the odds of that are high.

I expect several PDS warnings over the next 32 hours

How do the airlines handle severe weather events like this? Can we get a refund? Tomm we are supposed to fly out of NOLA around 10:30am to ATL then around 2 pm fly to Cincinnati, OH from ATL. This is the flight path
We’re supposed to fly from Cancun to ATL then ATL to Memphis at 2:50 pm tomorrow. Doesn’t look great

If a flight is canceled, or significantly delayed, your airline will allow you to reschedule or get a refund.

Well, boys. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. I’m gonna try to relax for a few hours before the overnight round fires up late tonight/early tomorrow. Y’all have a good evening and finish those preparations!

DANGEROUS WEATHER: This product is called Updraft Helicity, from the convection allowing HRRR model. UH is a measure of the potential for mid-level rotation within a storm's updraft, and is used as a proxy for identifying rotating storms, particularly supercells, and can be used to forecast tornado potential.
Understand this map isn't showing exact places where tornadoes will touch down, but as you can clearly see we have high tornado potential over most all of Alabama and Mississippi.
A few isolated tornadoes are possible late tonight/early tomorrow across West Alabama, but the major threat comes tomorrow afternoon/evening statewide. This is when a few violent, long track tornadoes will be possible.
Please put yourself in a position to hear severe weather warnings, and have a good plan.

it's ready to pop in Southern to mid missouri
lots of cells, all moving to St.Louis metro, thankfully no sporting events in town going on, or starting later.
